Artist Statement:
I was born and raised in the (very cold) state of Minnesota, attended Bemidji State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. After living and teaching in Chicago for three years I had the opportunity to move to Las Vegas Nevada and did so eagerly. After teaching with the Clark County School District for three years it was time for a new school and a new professional challenge. Bishop Gorman has been an amazing place to work; every day I learn as much as I teach, and I hope that remains true for the rest of my career.
I’m interested in experimenting with all forms of art. I gravitate toward three dimensional design, but I always plan with drawings and I love documenting with photography. Every type of visual art comes with its own challenges and opportunities, and I’m always looking for something new to explore.
